Just a few months after revealing the product roadmap for its upcoming blockchain-powered Twitter, it seems that Jack Dorsey and Co. have upped their game even further by hiring an entire crypto team–including former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan to lead engineering. What does this mean?

The “future of cryptocurrency 2021” is a prediction that was made by some experts. They believe that the future of cryptocurrency will be bright, and it will continue to grow in popularity.

Twitter Ups its Web3 Game with Dedicated Crypto Team

Twitter, the go-to social media platform for whining about NFTs, is expanding into the web3 domain. The development of a specialized crypto team is the most recent milestone in the decentralized path.

Tess Rinearson, a blockchain guru who was brought in to put together the best team of crypto specialists Twitter could afford, is at the helm. They’ll look at the many aspects of building a fully decentralized social media platform, such as crypto payments, NFTs, and finally a completely autonomous network, together. This new team has been dubbed “a center of excellence for all things blockchain and web3” by Twitter.

Twitter’s love affair with the blockchain continues with its next development. Jack Dorsey sold the world’s worst NFT for $3 million in March. In July, Twitter unveiled its first batch of NFTs to a rapt audience. The company then announced its intentions for NFT authentication and Bitcoin tipping in September.

Twitter is climbing up the gears as we approach the end of 2021, the breakthrough year for the modest digital asset. Developing its web3 capabilities at breakneck speed, expecting a massive spike in mainstream acceptance, despite the fact that some corporations are ignoring the crypto realm. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Discord, among other social media giants, are all avidly researching its possibilities.
