In a first for the industry, Brinc and Sandbox have started a $50 million accelerator program that will help bring blockchain-powered games to market. The program will award up to 10 startups with funding in exchange for an equity stake in their projects.

The Sandbox and Brinc Launch $50 Million Accelerator Program

The Sandbox, a pioneer of the open world metaverse, has announced the launch of a new accelerator program. Over the next three years, they want to invest 100 metaverse start-ups via industry experts Brinc.

The Sandbox has set aside a total of $50 million to fund the project, which it will subsequently give to successful candidates who have legitimate proposals that would benefit the open metaverse. Each start-up will get up to $250k from the initiative, with top performers earning further funding, $SAND tokens, and LAND awards.

Projects will get expert coaching from The Sandbox and Brinc, as well as professional mentoring from a huge number of industry experts, all with the purpose of bringing innovation to the metaverse and making it more accessible to a larger audience.
