Crocs, a shoe company known for its brightly-colored clogs is launching their first game with the help of NFTs. The brand will launch on April 26th and have partnered with CryptoKitties to create unique one-of-a-kind shoes that are available as collectibles in the gaming world.

The “Crocs” is a shoe retailer that has initiated the launch of their NFTs through the trademark application. The company filed for the trademark in November, 2018.

Shoe Retailer 'Crocs' Initiate NFT Launch Through Trademark Application -

Crocs, a foam shoe vendor, has submitted a trademark application for a product that can handle and store NFTs. The Colorado-based corporation will be in control of both digital and physical intellectual property as a result of gaining the trademark rights.

Crocs’ trademark registration specifically specifies that it intends to include the following kinds of downloadable digital media: digital assets, digital collectibles, digital tokens, and non-fiduciary tokens. The application argues that such digital assets will take the shape of footwear, apparel, purses, accessories, and ornamental footwear charms as they continue to be linked to the brand.

The application also states that the company intends to use downloadable computer software for creating, managing, storing, accessing, sending, receiving, exchanging, validating, and selling digital assets, digital collectibles, digital tokens, and NFTs, as well as how it will use blockchain technologies to showcase the digital products to its customers.

The infamous moulded-footwear company, which has sold over 300 million pairs of its patented, opinion-splitting clogs, is certainly not the first shoe brand to enter the world of NFTs, as industry giants Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour already allow fans to flaunt their digital kicks on platforms like The Sandbox and Decentraland, and luxury fashion brand Jimmy Choo has also released an exclusive NFT shoe collection.
