The Rolling Stone magazine has unveiled its brand new quarterly publication, Bored Ape NFT Magazine. Released on the eve of Blockchain Week in New York City, this issue features a changing lineup of “crypto-celebrities” including Kim Kardashian’s husband Kanye West and other industry titans like Elon Musk.
Rolling Stone announced their relationship with Yuga Labs through a Twitter tweet, which was a big deal for the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) membership. By cooperating with BAYC to auction off its first-ever NFT magazine covers through SuperRare, the music magazine behemoth made its first steps into the NFT market.
The auction is now underway and will conclude in three days. ‘Rolling Stone x Mutant Ape Yacht Club Cover’ NFT and ‘Rolling Stone x Bored Ape Yacht Club Cover’ NFT are two high-quality animated artworks included. The current highest offers are 14 ETH and 16 ETH at the time of writing.

Yuga Labs and Rolling Stone magazine are planning to release five more NFT works, including distinctive Bored Ape figures made by a variety of NFT artists. Because both firms are leaders in their respective areas, this alliance represents a significant step forward for both. TIME, Fortune, Vogue, Playboy, and The Economist are among the other worldwide publications that have produced their own NFTs this year. It’s no surprise that more media companies are following suit, given the millions of dollars several of them have gained in only minutes.
