‘GeeGazza’ prophesied that Slim Shady would ultimately acquire their Ape, which is noted for mimicking the Missouri-born rapper, and the purchase arrived two months later. “I still believe Eminem is going to purchase my BoredApeYC one day,” they tweeted on November 2nd.
The acquisition, which was facilitated by Six, a digital firm that deals with a number of celebrities in the NFT market, is not the musician’s first foray into the field, as he is said to own 15 additional NFTs on OpenSea under the moniker ‘Shady Holdings.’
Eminem is one of a slew of A-listers who have lately dabbled with the high-profile world of BAYC NFTs. Steph Curry, the NBA MVP, just joined the party, purchasing a Bored Ape, which is now his Twitter profile photo, as well as an account with the ENS domain davidchappelle. eth just purchased Bored Ape #8343 for 99 ETH (about $371,000). Chappelle, on the other hand, has yet to confirm (or deny) that it is really him.
