Death Row Records, the iconic rap label founded by Suge Knight, has released a 30th anniversary digital album with Crypto.com NFTs (non-fungible tokens). The collectibles are available on OPSkins and can be purchased using Bitcoin or Ether. Death Row is currently preparing for its first ever music festival in Coachella where fans will purchase tickets using blockchain tech like cryptocurrency and smart contracts that would otherwise have been expensive due to ticket resale markup fees.

Death Row Records is a record label based in Los Angeles, the infamous music production powerhouse, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in style. They’ve launched an exciting new NFT collection in collaboration with NFT gurus Crypto.com.

The early 1990s were a pivotal period for the young record label, as they were on the verge of permanently changing the hip hop genre by signing artists who would go on to become some of the most well-known figures in the genre. Snoop Dogg’s first studio album, “Doggystyle,” was released on November 23, 1993. They’ve re-issued the landmark release in all its double vinyl glory, 28 years later.

The NFTs

The collection consists of seven NFTs, each with incredible 3D animated artwork set to tracks from the fantastic Doggystyle album. The first three NFTs, representing crypto-themed renditions of the iconic Death Row logo, are the brainchild of creative studio Fluxx88. The last four pieces, which feature the popular “Lil Bitcoin” figure, were developed in cooperation with TillaVision and Death Row.

Each NFT is only available for a short time, with the sale concluding at 2 p.m. UTC on November 25. Following the launch, Death Row will randomly choose 300 NFT holders to join the “Death Row Crypto Club.” Members will enjoy awesome member-only incentives, such as a 20% discount at the Death Row merch shop and first notification of upcoming drops. In addition, one of the 300 people chosen will be given a special Death Row Chain.
